Gillis Media

Hi! I’m Gracie Gillis, and I run Gillis Media. I’m a Media Production student at the University of Cincinnati’s CCM, where I study film production with a focus on directing, producing, and editing. I am also minoring in marketing.

I’ve always loved visual storytelling. I started in high school as part of the yearbook program, where I worked for four years and eventually became Editor-in-Chief and Social Media & Marketing Manager. That’s where I really learned photography, graphic design, branding, and how to promote creative work. I designed yearbook covers, created spreads, helped lead a team, and worked on marketing campaigns to boost sales and engagement. You can see examples of that work in my portfolio and social media & graphic design.

Since then, I’ve expanded into film and digital media. I’ve worked on narrative projects in college, including a short film called Reverdie, where I had hands-on experience directing. I’ve learned what it’s like to be on set, collaborate with a team, and carry a project from planning all the way through post-production. You can see examples of that work in my portfolio and film & video.

Alongside creative production, I’ve also gained experience in digital marketing. I’ve built and branded a Shopify website, created paid and organic social media content for Instagram and Facebook, planned influencer campaigns for TikTok, and run a Google Ads search campaign. I enjoy combining creativity with strategy, making work that not only looks good, but actually connects with people.
